Brian Kinsey was born and reared in Lake Charles, Louisiana and entered full time ministry at the age of eighteen as an evangelist. He pursued that calling with diligence for ten years before accepting a pastorate in Provencal, Louisiana, during which time he earned a Masters Degree in Theology and authored The Bride’s Pearl, A Commentary on Ephesians.
After five years as a pastor, Brian Kinsey again entered evangelistic ministry while serving the Louisiana District as Youth President. In 1994, he was elected Youth Secretary of the UPCI, which necessitated a family relocation to the headquarters of the United Pentecostal Church International, in Saint Louis, Missouri. He advanced from Youth Secretary to Youth President, and served with excellence until reaching the age limit for that office. He was then elected Home Missions Secretary of the UPCI.
Pastor Kinsey and his wife, Lanette, moved to Pensacola in June 2000 to serve First Pentecostal Church as Pastor and since April, 2007, as Senior Pastor. He continued to serve the UPCI as Metro Missions Coordinator and Florida District Home Missions Director for a number of years. He is a noted speaker and has traveled extensively throughout North America and to many foreign countries, including the Philippines, Thailand, Russia, Nepal, Britain and France. Lanette is the author of Mostly Martha: How to Find Balance Between Mary and Martha.
Pastor Kinsey is passionate about developing the ministries of others and providing leadership training, and is a gifted teacher and mentor. First Pentecostal Church serves as a satellite campus for Purpose Institute, a ministry training institute. The Kinsey’s vision for the church is to evangelize the world and to disciple the saved. They are committed to the goals Jesus set for his people – to inspire, to train, and to change the world around us.
